Indoor and outdoor unit frozen solid. Turned off breaker for outdoor unit. Will have to reschedule.
I completed a two system heating maintenance. I replaced 1-16x25x1 filter and 1-16x20x1 filter. I cleaned the flame sensor and igniter. I check3d the amp draw on the blower motors,inducer motor and heat strips. I cleaned the flame sensor and checked the igniter on the upstairs furnace. I checked the defrost cycle,amp draw and refrigerant charge on the outdoor unit for down stairs. I checked all safeties and confirmed proper sequence of operation. Both systems are currently heating at manufacturers specifications.
Customer states basement system keeps tripping breaker for air handler upon inspection found system to be on a shared 30 amp breaker causing breaker to be overloaded when system calls for defrost mode or auxiliary heating adjusted out put of heat kit from 10kw-5kw checked operation system is now operating properly
Warranty. I found the outdoor unit in a high pressure lock out. I adjusted the charge and adjusted the bypass damper. I tested the system in heat and cooling mode. System is operating at manufacturers specifications.
Warranty. Arrived and I found the downstairs outdoor unit completely out of refrigerant. I pressure tested the system and found a kink on the suction line inside of the garage chase. I had to cut sheet rock to find and fix the leak. Leak was fixed under warranty, customer is responsible for Sheetrock and paint repair. I iced the leak,pressure tested and pulled a deep vacuum. I charged the system to the factory requirements.
Warranty, service evaporator coil replaced one month ago. Performed leak search on indoor and outdoor equipment. Found Schrader cores with overtightened caps. Removed and installed new Schrader cores and new caps. Refilled system with refrigerant. System is now operating normally.
Replace main level 2020 Lennox evaporator coil under manufacture warranty. Vacuumed and charged with r410a refrigerant. System cooling properly.
I performed a one system maintenance in the attic. I look at all the low voltage and the blower motor amperage, treated and blew out the drain line also. I checked the charge and the compaster also washed the out door system off as well everything thing Is running and operating like it should be at this time.
Member No fee- Preformed dye search on main level 2020 Lennox heat pump/air handler located in garage. Leak and dye was found in air handler evaporator coil. Evaporator is still under Lennox manufacture warranty so labor will only be charged. Added about a LB of refrigerant and system is cooling in the meantime. 16x20x1, pics uploaded Will be sending quotes to customer
Main level System was approximately 2 pounds low on refrigerant added refrigerant and dye will need to schedule return visit for dye test. Performed 2 system ccm cooling maintenance replaced 1 16x25x1 filter and 1 15x20x1 filter checked electrical components and refrigerant charge
Arrived and discussed issue with customer. Upstairs unit not cooling and making a noise. Customer also later explained they saw the outdoor unit fan not running. Found water in emergency drain pan, diagnosed dirty outdoor coil and low on charge. After cleaning the coil I found I leak in the lineset we replaced last year. Fixed leak in lineset, pressure tested and pulled a vacuum. Recharged system under parts and labor warranty. Cleaned water out of emergency drain pan.System is currently cooling. Due to age of system I highly recommend a comfort advisor visit to schedule a quote for a full system change out.
