Complaint: AC not cooling 6/22/25 Found TXV for indoor unit locked down. Will quote repair 6/24/25 Returned to install TXV customer supplied. Unfortunately the universal TXV wouldn’t work. Was able to track down a replacement TXV. Will replace once it arrives tomorrow. 6/25/25 Installed TXV, pressure tested system, pulled vacuum, and tested system operation. Due to the age of the system and the stress the old TXV has put on the compressor, the outdoor coil needed a hard start. The air filter was also heavily damaged when the indoor coil froze last time. Replaced filter. System is operating normally at this time.
