Charlie’s service personnel are always friendly and honest. They are always eager to help and get your system back to operation, in a timely manner.
I have been a customer of Charlie’s for many years. Never have they ever disappointed us. Daniel is an honest phenomenal serviceman. He has demonstrated his honesty several times. When trying to solve a problem, he doesn’t start by installing expensive parts like circuit boards, he honestly tries to isolate and determine exactly what the problem is. Five stars service
Thorough, fast, and friendly. Always arrives in the appointment window. Seems to genuinely care for the fact that I'm a senior citizen. Shawn explains what he's doing and what could happen if he did not do it.
Did a great job explaning the operating system to us
Steve is always friendly and professional when he comes to service our furnace.
Justin was very nice and knowledgeable. He inspected my unit and gave me advice to keep it efficient with the cold weather coming in. He was thorough and very professional but friendly.
Everyone at Charlie’s is always polite and professional. It’s a pleasure to do business with them.
Wendy said temperatures felt off in the Greenhouse, checked unit and found gable damper not opening due to a broken cable. Also checked temperatures during operation, temps in greenhouse swing from 50 degrees to 110 degrees, determined thermostat remote sensor is broken. Ordered new one, will be in in a few days. Set dampers and stat to try to keep temps in line with thermostat settings. 3/27/2023 returned and replaced remote sensor, made a new wire for damper and installed it. Tested heat and cool, all stages, temps are in line with settings on controller.
Complaint - yellow light flashing. System had tripped on high temperature limit. Most likely cause of the issue was dirty filter. Replaced filter and made sure system was operating normally. Breaker for outdoor coil was tripped. On a warm day with the system going into defrost and a dirty filter, this may have caused the breaker to trip. System appears to be operating normally.
NO HEAT Cause of the issue was a bad ground wire. Ran a new ground wire and system ran normally afterward.
Lit pilot light for customer. Recommended customer has fireplace cleaned by FireMasters before next winter.
Replacing TXV (Southeast Shipping) and Condenser fan motor (Northwest shipping) found bad during maintenance. Replaced parts, pressure tested and evacuated system to 500 microns, charged unit with 8 lbs r410a.
Complaint : Smell Sprayed 2 bottles worth of Evap Fresh on and under evaporator coil, turned fan to “on” position to make sure smell went away, ran fan twice and only smelled the Evap Fresh. Also went in the attic to see if anything got in the ductwork and found no damage or anything wrong with the ductwork. Made sure system is working properly. System is heating and no smell is present at this time.
Spoke with Wan, issue was the thermostats were jumping all over the place during the day and night. All four thermostats are programmable with schedules. They’re Pro6000 thermostats, can’t disable program so set all four to the temps Wan desired. From here temps can be adjusted manually, just need to use hold button. All thermostats would need to be replaced to go completely away from all programming functions, cannot be disabled on this style of thermostat
2023 Spring PM 3/10/23 Cleaned C13 North, C13 South, and C12 North. Replaced belt on C13 North and left a spare in the parts room. (Emergency repairs) C23 West and Center were down. West needed a new control board. Middle had a bad control board and blower motor trying to seize up. Both systems are operating normally at this time. 3/14/23 Cleaned C11 North, C11 South, and C12 South. Replaced belt on C11 North. C11 North and South need new blower limits. C11 North also needs a new inducer motor due to the bearings beginning to fail.
Furnace Repair Upon arrival gas furnace was not firing, found bad hot surface igniter. Replaced hot surface igniter, cleaned flame sensor. Made sure furnace is working properly, system is heating at this time.
Heat Pump Maintenance PCSA 2022 Heating Check Up Prepaid. System is heating efficiently at this time, temp rise is good, filters were recently changed by customer, outdoor coil is clean, and electric heat kicks on as needed. Secured insulation that was coming off of line set with some zip ties at outdoor unit, other than that system checks out great.
2023 Spring PM 3/8/23 Cleaned out electrical compartment and return duct work on systems Wax Main East and West, W1 North and South, and W2 South. Also texted heat operation. Adjusted controls on Systems in C12 so it would be operating better until it can be cleaned. 3/15/23 cleaned coils and blower wheels for mealworm units in back row
No heat on C18M. Found control board not sending signal to gas valve to start igniter, replaced board. After replacing the board the gas valve would not open. It appears the board went bad and took the gas valve with it. Replaced gas valve and unit started up great. While this far into it I felt the igniter was due to be changed, looked terrible, so I replaced it to save a future service call. Tested furnace, running good, room raised 3 degrees while I was here.
Furnace Repair No heat all C22 units down West unit-replaced stuck open limit Middle-burnt wire feeding transformer East-tripped rollout, reset Middle unit is tripping a rollout switch, needs to be investigated further. C22 middle unit pilot is good amen flame is good. System is running this time, however, it did have a bad board due to condensation dripping on it. Replaced board added insulation to systems c21, c22, c23 and c20. Will continue adding to systems that need it.
