Heat Tune Up. Homeowner mentioned buzzing noise. I confirmed that this was transformer hum. Attempted to remount transformer to get rid of hum, Offered to replace transformer Verified tstat operation. Replaced filter. Checked gas pressure. Checked temp rise. Checked wiring. Cleaned flame sensor. Checked all electric motors and components. Combustion test passed. Found weak 40 MFD blower capacitor. Replaced capacitor. Replaced transformer. There is no hum from new transformer. Homeowner signed up for plan membership. Completed Gas Furnace Inspection Form System is operating well at the time of this maintenance.
Heat Tune Up 80K BTU natural gas furnace. Made call for heat from thermostat. Checked condition and resistance of hot surface ignitor. Cleaned flame sensor. Visually inspected heat exchanger and burners. Checked static pressure. Checked gas pressure. Checked field and manufacturer wiring. Checked all electric motors and components. Measured temperature rise. Completed Gas Furnace inspection Form Encourage homeowner to consider becoming plan member explained benefits of membership. Furnace is operating safely at design conditions at the time of this maintenance.
6 Month Inspection for 80K BTU 2-stage propane furnace. Made call for heat at thermostat. Checked filter. Checked static pressure. Checked inlet and outlet gas pressures. Checked all electric motors and components. Checked wiring. Checked flame sensor, hot surface ignitor, burners and heat exchanger. Measured temp rise. Checked for CoolCloud Updates. Combustion test: good. Provided estimate for bypass humidifier. Provided estimate for REME Whole Home Air Purifier. Completed Gas Furnace inspection form. Furnace is operating well at the time of six month inspection.
Found hose cap at boiler drain port dripping, cap was not tight 100%, After tightened cap check for any dripping did not see any dripping.
Performed gas heat inspection on two Lennox natural gas furnaces, check electrical low and high voltage connections ok cleaned flame sensor and check burners, burners have lot of rust/corrosion, check manifold gas pressure check blower motor and capacitor ok check temp rise, performed combustion test on both furnaces ok, inspect heat exchanger on both heaters, found first floor in bad shape lots of rust inside and outside heat exchanger would recommended replacement of first floor hvac. Also would recommended new burners and Igniter for second floor furnace, service humidifier, cleaned all interior parts and replaced pad, test and set to winter 35%. Home comfort consultant to come out tomorrow between 11 and 1 for system replacement option on first floor system.
Performed gas heat tune up check electrical low and high voltage connections check filter cleaned flame sensor and gas pressures check temp rise ok, performed combustion test cycle furnace ok.
Removed existing DHW tank and plate. Adapted piping for aquastat well. Replaced domestic coil plate. Checked for leaks. Purged system. Verified that all zones were getting hot. Performed combustion test. Checked Return and Supply temp splits. Completed Gas Boiler Tune Up Form. Boiler is working well at time of service.
Found severely corroded bolts on domestic coil of 103,000 BTU natural Gas crown boiler with baseboard. Checked other fittings and valves for leaks. Removed right side jacket of boiler to inspect for leaks/visible cracks. Appears as if only the domestic coil plate is leaking. Saw drip on bottom of domestic coil plate. Leak is running down boiler and causing rust but the boiler heat exchanger itself is not leaking. Called Crown leaving a message to call me back personally about price availability and warranty of domestic coil. Ferguson’s or Johnstone will be the distributor. Provided separate estimates for removing water softener system and for replacing boiler plate. Closed fill valve to boiler. Boiler is down.
Performed gas heat tune up check electrical low and high replaced filter, flushed drain for furnace trap, cleansed burners and flame sensor, check manifold gas pressure ok performed combustion test, check temp rise ok also replaced thermostat with Honeywell pro T6 WiFi, check operation on cool and heat ok cycle furnace and ac ok.
Performed quality assurance inspection on recently installed Daikin mini split heat pump system. Checked temperature split at indoor head. Checked over electrical wiring. Found extra wire loop in garage area. Cut off extra wiring and re- wired at outdoor unit. Also caulked around penetration at garage wall again after shortening power wire. Homeowner also was concerned with how quiet fan can get at indoor head. Checked fan settings at it was running as low as it could. Mini split system is also larger than what was previously installed which is also cooling better than the old system did. System is working fine at time of quality assurance check.
Performed Quality Assurance on Amana Gas Furnace/AC System. Reviewed installation with homeowner. Addressed any issues that needed to be corrected. No Combustion Testing was done during the Installation. Performed Combustion Test and measured Gas Pressures on system in Heating Mode. Completed QA Checklist Form in system. Homeowner is interested in a REME Air Purifier. Provided estimate for REME. Main Issues with this install were: Loose wiring on low voltage and high voltage connections, trash around the outdoor unit, and no combustion or refrigerant readings were done on the Install Checklist Form. This install may have been the day of the storm/flooding which may be why the guys did not complete the testing out??
Reclaimed and removed old coil and ac. Removed furnace . Installed a new amana gas furnace in existing location. Installed a new coil on top with a txv installed. Modified supply metal and taped all duct. Installed a new return drop kit with a elbow boot with a filter installed. 16/25/1 filter size. Ran new copper lines from indoor unit to new amana ac unit. Brazed and leak checked with nitro and soapy bubbles. Ac unit is on a new plastic pad. Only tested system in a/c. Will need to adjust gas pressure and test CO during quality assurance. Did not collect because of 90 dollar refund for customer. Card on file price needs to be adjusted and then card ran.
Performed Quality Assurance on Amana AC/AHU Cut-In. Reviewed installation with homeowner. Completed checklist form in system. Corrected any issues that were found during the QA. Homeowner gave check for the remaining balance of the installation. This Install did not pass the QA Inspection: Everything was ran neatly and looked nice. Major issue was the Flex Connections and had to tape around the Supply Trunk because there was some Air Leakage. MV’s were sweating because the Flex was not pulled all the way down and they were insulated properly. Also not sure why they didn’t install a Wet Switch.
Checked poor cooling complaint, checked air filter ok. Checked refrigerant charge and temperature drop across coil. Found system low on charge and only a 10 degree drop across coil. Removed air filter for better air flow. Recommend setting fan to the on position. System is scheduled to replace.
Checked no cooling on mini split in kitchen area. Found heat pump low on refrigerant charge. Topped off charge. Checked operation and temperature drop across coil.
