Reviewed home and concerns with customer. Customer had another company install a Coleman unit in the attic as part of the addition. It is a 18000 btu/hr unit. Unit for main house is 3.5 tons and ducts to 2nd floor was disconnected and ductwork to basement was installed. Recommend energy analysis with blower door on the home, air sealing rim joists, cleaning up insulation that was trampled on in the attic space. Also recommend load calc on space to ensure the units are not oversized for the building. Also recommend performing service on the units and ensure the thermostats are setup properly.
