Performed QA on Steam Boiler. Homeowner stated that it has been making a very loud banging noise for the past week. Turned thermostat up to allow system to run. After about 10 Minutes of running it began making the loud banging. Lowered the Water Pressure from 2 PSI to 1 PSI with and left the 1 PSI Cut In setting. After adjusting pressure the banging in the system stopped. Performed combustion test on system. Homeowner noted that the living room radiator was not fully hot. Checked radiator supply valve and found operational. Recommended that the Air Vent be replaced. She is going to monitor the radiator and may replace the steam vent herself. No estimate is needed at this time. Completed checklist form in system. Homeowner would like a call sometime this week as she is interested in signing up for the annual maintenance plan for the fall/winter, but would like us to call to discuss further. It is only a natural gas steam boiler system for the home.
