Customer called us out because the air handler kept going on and off. Upon investigation, Troy found that the drain line needed to be vacuumed out because the float kept getting triggered. After clearing out the drain line, the condenser would no longer come back on. Then Troy Tried to find the reason why the condenser wouldn’t come online. We tested the float switch we tested the thermostat and the contact switch as well and all three of them passed as well as the capacitor. This led only to the blower control board being the issue. Quoted customer out for the emergency services and replacing the control board. Also would be a really good idea to do a static pressure test while we’re there to find if there’s a root cause as they recently repaired their blower wheel motor and it seems like it’s taking on a lot of resistance inside that cabinet.
