Did a complete evaluation and inspection of central AC unit and ductwork. After assessment found heavy amounts of biological growth buildup inside air handler on blower wheel, evaporator coil, and inside cabinet. Ductwork is in good condition, however, there’s also biological growth buildup inside ductwork. The reason why so much buildup is in system is because the blower runs continuously and is causing excessive humidity in home and inside unit. This is an ECM type blower and runs continuously with no call for heat, air conditioning, or fan. The blower motor & module needs to be replaced. Also, there is heavy amounts of rust buildup on evaporator coil which could lead to complications when pulling in cleaning evaporator coil. Gave options for issues with system, however system is nine years old, recommend replacing due to age and cost of repairs.
