Hunter was very pleasant, experienced and was able to diagnose the issue and have it corrected in no time. We are back to having normal a/c now. I was relieved to be able to get scheduled right away too.
Aaron quickly made an initial check of my Carrier system and agreed with my suspicion that it needed a new “run” capacitor. He made the necessary repair, got the system running, and completely checked it out so it is now running properly.
Very courteous, prompt communication, they sent a pic and description of technician coming to quote new unit. Technician called prior to arrival. Great information and clear estimate!

I’ve had seven different heating and air conditioning companies out to inspect my aging system, and evaluate the potential of replacing it. James is the one that I most trust. He was so patient to answer all of my detailed questions. All of his answers were congruent with my prior knowledge (background in automotive refrigeration). Some of the other agencies that have been to my house have given me patently false, even opposite, information on factual items. James was willing to go into the weeds with me, and (prior to work actually being done) has so far earned my trust. Also, no pressure, but also straight up regarding telling me how it is.

Had to return after install, system was not cooling adequately. Had to adjust TXV to proper superheat. Got superheat to 15°. Added 2 1/2 pounds of refrigerant to system to get some cooling to 9°. All operations OK at this time.
Client wanted estimate on repairing flex that rat chewed through causing condensation to leak through ceiling I gave option on repair and replacement old air distribution system and new hvac system client had me email estimates and will call office with decision
Client on fixed income I was unable to get credit approval to replace air distribution system duplex building I was able to get approval through breeze lease monthly payment $587.00 with down payment $717.00 client unable to pay payments that high also I spoke to Q at mason ac she office said we are not set up with breeze Client asked about estimate for new hot water heater I uploaded pictures or call client to schedule plumber to give estimate
Client approved to have two zone 18K Daikin mini split installed with 2- 7K BTU indoor heads. Installing on Tuesday, September 9.
Performed system maintenance. Found system with no surge protection for equipment. All motors, including compressor and control boards are vulnerable to surge related events. Small amount of mold growth on blower wheel. Strongly suggest UV Light to keep growth from forming and to sanitize indoor air.
Need to return tomorrow with James. Can't access with 28ft ladder safely.
Tenant in short term rental states air not falling below 78°f. Inspected equipment, measured refrigerant levels and temperature delta. All system vitals within expected range. No condensate in flood switch housing. Based on tenant and client reports, possibly failed thermostat or unsatisfactory programming. Recommended client continue monitoring system and enrolling in maintenance plan. Client to discuss with property owner.
Showed up to the home check pressures went over the system. System was put in September 1924 by flippers roof was done. Ductwork has some tears in it, but you can’t access the rest of the ductwork because they have a plywood off in the center of the house so you can’t see all the insulation what I could see of insulation it was proper amount. Unit was cooling properly had 20° split. Pressures were perfect on the system. Everything checks out to manufacture specs the vents inside were blowing out 63°. The walls inside were 63° thousand square-foot house the unit is size correctly. It’s just hot outside nothing I can do to make their system. Keep at temperature cause everything was operating to manufacture specs.
Replacing 3.5 ton heat pump system with all new ductwork. Installing Thursday, August 28. Job will take 2 to 3 days.
Performed system maintenance. Found capacitor fan terminal melting. Strongly recommend replacing part. Found indoor evaporator coil heavily impacted. Suggest pull and clean of evaporator and replacing the filter drier. Ultra Violet Light, Ultraviolet light - UVC - is mandatory in hospitals, laboratories, food processing plants, any facility concerned with the indoor air quality as a health factor. 99.9% reduction of mold growth on coils and HVAC system interior saves energy/reduces maintenance costs. Reduces airborne contaminants including viruses and bacteria. Pulled EV coil and blower motor also cleaned out the system wiped it down disinfected everything also installing two UV’s one for the coil and one for the blower side. Homeowner paid in full.
Task includes Removal of exisiting evap coil and EEV Replacement of new EEV and evaporator coil James returned and recovered system Removed in warranty evaporator coil and replaced with new and also replaced EEV. Pulled 500 micron vac and charged with virgin r410a per manufacturer specs. Tested system in charge mode and verified systems operations charge and temps with tech rep. All is looking to spec per rep and cooling as designed.
Inspected home and existing HVAC system. Discussed client expectations for new system installation. Worked with management to develop best options for system replacement to meet client needs. Discussed options with client who requests estimates be sent via email. No further action necessary at this time.
Client wanted estimate to raise condensing unit. Gave client estimate and offered membership. Client needs to speak with spouse and will get back to us.
Drafted estimates for new installation of 5T split system, to replace existing chiller unit. Maintenance supervisor to forward estimates to ownership.
