Hunter was very pleasant, experienced and was able to diagnose the issue and have it corrected in no time. We are back to having normal a/c now. I was relieved to be able to get scheduled right away too.
Aaron quickly made an initial check of my Carrier system and agreed with my suspicion that it needed a new “run” capacitor. He made the necessary repair, got the system running, and completely checked it out so it is now running properly.
Very courteous, prompt communication, they sent a pic and description of technician coming to quote new unit. Technician called prior to arrival. Great information and clear estimate!
Mike and Jack were a pleasure to meet. They were extremely efficient and friendly! As frustrating as it can be to handle household issues, with Mason Air it has been so nice and easy to work with!
Came right out after the hurricane and replaced a motherboard that was damaged, no questions asked
I’ve had seven different heating and air conditioning companies out to inspect my aging system, and evaluate the potential of replacing it. James is the one that I most trust. He was so patient to answer all of my detailed questions. All of his answers were congruent with my prior knowledge (background in automotive refrigeration). Some of the other agencies that have been to my house have given me patently false, even opposite, information on factual items. James was willing to go into the weeds with me, and (prior to work actually being done) has so far earned my trust. Also, no pressure, but also straight up regarding telling me how it is.
Response from Mason Air Conditioning & Heating:
Thank you so much for your 5-star review! We will share this with the team to let them know to keep up the amazing work!
Happy that the issue was diagnosed correctly and repaired. Mike was very friendly, professional and very patient with me explaining everything and answering my questions, as was his co-worker (Matt?, sry I'm terrible w names)

Gave client estimate to install a two zone mini split system for back rooms. Client waiting on finances and will call us when ready to move forward.
Provided estimate to put a two zone mini split in offices. Client is getting three estimates and will get back to us. Sent over clients information to greenlight electric so that they can give estimate on running electrical as well.
No cooling, did a complete evaluation of ACC system. Found evaporator coil freezing up. Checked refrigerant pressures. Getting very low suction pressure with a high head pressure. TXV is restricted, also capillary tubes on evaporator coil are rubbing against metal and are very corroded. Gave client options to repair system, however, recommended replacing system due to condition and cost of repairs. Client decided to replace system at this time. We are installing new packaged heat pump system on Wednesday, July 2. Client paid $2637 down and finance $6000 through upgrade.
Arrived to find (2) systems in home Turned both to cool to find downstairs with decent temp split Upstairs unit has a bad temp split and checked Freon pressures to find additive dye injected into system which I do not recommend due to possibility of gumming up valves and metering devices. Found upstairs system low on Freon and is reasoning for system over working. Found leak in evaporator coil and recommend replacement . Downstairs system is 20 years of age and do not recommend putting money into system if breaks down.
No cooling, found restriction in evaporator coil/metering device. Keep client options for repairs, however, system is 11 years old and recommend replacing due to age and cost of repairs. Client decided to replace system at this time. We are installing on Monday, June 30. Client got approved for financing through turns financing company.
Came out to a customer‘s property where the tenant lives the tenant was not home. The tenant said he was hearing a strange noise coming from the AC unit. The only noise I hear is coming from any AC unit that is strange is the neighbors across the way the current AC unit in the house that he lives in is not making any strange noises. I took a full video of it Just in case Debbie is aware and would like to proceed with a membership for future maintenance
Came out for system estimate upon arrival. Customer already had three other invoices wanting to get us quoted at 7900 need to get with James for model and serial number of unit for customer.
Arrived to find water beading off bottom of air handler Checked static pressures Freon pressures coil level drain pitch assured unclogged lines. I am assuming that the system had a clogged line or froze up air handler bottom was saturated with water and insulation on bottom has lost its r values and needs replaced.
System not bringing home down to desire temperature. Client had thermostat off and just turned the thermostat on this morning. Explain to client that it could take a while to cool the home down to temperature if thermostat has been off for a period of time. Also noticed that all air filters are plugged, which could’ve been causing system to freeze up overnight. Also, there is no attic insulation. Explained to client that home will take a lot longer to cool down to temperature with no insulation in attic as well as an increase in her electrical bill. Replaced filters that customer supplied, did not have filter for the main hallway return. She said she will go out and get one today. Advise client to see how system operates over the next few days. Everything working fine while I was there. Client would like service manager to come out and evaluate system as well.
No cool, client says it wasn’t getting below 90° at home. Upon arrival thermostat was off. Turn thermostat to cool and cycled AC system. Everything seemed to be working. OK did a complete evaluation of a C system. Checked the temperatures and pressures. Everything within manufacture specs. Did notice that the compressor had high start up amps. Recommended installing a hard star kit in signing up for membership. Client declined recommendations at this time. System is up and running and cooling at this time.
Task Includes -Installation of new 24x12x1 return air grill -Relinning the bottom return with duct board -Installation of whole home air purifier
Client getting condensation issues from bathroom vent. Found a huge hole in ductwork up in attic. Duck work is very old and outdated. Gave client options for repairing ductwork, replacing entire duct system, and replacing 11-year-old AC system. Client will review estimates and get back to us. Got client preapproved for financing. Client needs to discuss which option they want to do with spouse.
