Thank you for the prompt response and your tech visit. My call was related to the thermal insulator missing on top of a large portion of a room. The access and visibility of that area is blocked by ducts from the point used by techs for observation. So, I hope there will be a follow-up.

I Was just out here on Sunday and added 2 pounds of refrigerant per clients request. Client requested us to come back out today to add more refrigerant to get the home cool. Upon diagnosis of system, found system significantly low, just about as low as the last time I was out here. Strongly advised to client to either do a leak search or replace system due to age and cost of repairs. Client chose to do a leak search with dye and added 7 pounds of refrigerant. Need to return in 3 to 5 days to perform leak with black light. System is running and cooling good at this time.
When I arrived the unit was working so I could not diagnose anything. It's possible there was a loose connection in Tstat. Told customer to not try to diagnose himself if it happens again so that we can figure out the issue if there is one
No cooling, found system low on refrigerant due to a leak somewhere in the system, and compressor has high startup amps gave client solutions for issues with system, however, system is 10 years old and recommend replacing it due to age and cost of repairs. Client did not want to put the full amount of refrigerant in the system to bring system to manufacture specs or do not want to do a leak search. Client just wanted to put 2 pounds of refrigerant in to see how it will work and how long it will last. Advised client that 2 pounds refrigerant may not cool the house like he would like to and depending on how substantial the leak was that it may not last or leak out quickly. System is running, but not cooling to its full potential at this time.
AC system working upon arrival. Ask client if they would like me to do a complete thorough evaluation of system and service fee would be waived if further repairs were made. Client did not want to do that at this time. So that AC is working OK and will call us back if system goes out again.
Customer had brand new ductwork and machine put in about a year or two ago. Never got new boots or vents. One of the boots and vents are getting super bad and is leaking. Customer only wants to replace one boot in vent. Customer said he’s gonna try to get with the company that did it and see if they’ll do it for free.
Task Includes -Installation of (2) Daikin Dual Ported Heat Pump Mini Splits -Installation of 200ft copper Lineset, control wire, and drains -Installation of (4) decretive line hide covers -Electrical upgrades included in price -10 year system warranty 1 year Mason air labor -All permits and inspections included
Came out and installed blower motor and board inside of Air machine is operational at this time
James returned and replaced shorted reversing valve solenoid. Tested complete system operation All okay at this time
Came out for system being stuck in heating mode upon arrival found faulty error codes that were saying there was something wrong with the reversing valve found no problematic wires or anything loose or being grounded out. Need to have somebody come and replace or fix the reversing valve solenoid. Return to verify system running in heating mode. Getting 24 V to reversing valve. Ohmed out reversing valve and getting no continuity. Need to replace reversing valve solenoid. Ordered part from carrier need to schedule and return to replace it. Part is covered under warranty, client just has to pay for labor. -AK
Perform tuneup on AC system. Inspected into an outdoor coils, flushed drain line, replaced air filter, inspected blower wheel, checked temperatures, checked, static pressure, checked refrigerant pressures, inspected all major and minor electrical components. Found some biological growth buildup inside air handler, There is no service protection on system, and compressor has high startup amps. Gave client solutions for issues with system, however, system is nine years old and recommended replacing due to age cost of repairs. Client decided to hold off for now on any recommendations. Signed client up for annual membership.
