From the time I called at 7am and talked to a human until my A/C was back working everything was exceptional.
Hunter and his guy did an incredible job. They were efficient, knowledgeable and their cleanliness was second to none. Once they got the mini split installed and finished cleaning up it looked like it had always been there.
The service experience was great for me as always. He was kind, knowledgeable and showed up early which was great. I’d recommend Mason to anyone in need of a new maintenance company.
Hunter was very helpful explaining options and what’s best for our house.
Very informative and determined, wasn't going to leave until it was fixed, he had to leave for a part, it was late, so I suggested finish it tomorrow, but he insisted that he was going to fix it , Very polite and helpful young man, you got yourself a great employee
Very communicative answered all my questions great service
We always go to Mason AC services for any AC needs and they always deliver: fast, friendly and get the job done. Last time we had technician Aaron taking care of or AC and he did a great job. I liked that he kept us updated (we were out of town) on his ETA, on the state of the AC and the issue resolution, and then contacted us again to confirm everthing was up and running again. Thank you
James took the time to fully explain what the issue was, provided options, and answered all of our questions. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you so much!!
Client wanted estimate on cleaning ductwork, however, ductwork is square duct board and is older. Advised client that ductwork should not be cleaned because it could fall apart during cleaning process. Explained to client that we could install an air scrubber to kill any future growth that is growing in ductwork, but it would not remove it. Also, drain line is condensating above ceiling and should be insulated. Client needs to go over options with property manager and will get back to us
No cooling, EF error code on thermostat. Found float, tripped due to a clogged drain line. Noticed biological growth build up in air handler, there is no surge protection on system, and a lot of sediment buildup in drain. Gave client solutions for issues with system. Client seemed interested in solutions, however, they want a few days to think about it over and decide which option they want to go with, just wanted to have the drain line cleared for now. Offer the membership, cleared and flushed drain line. Cycled and tested system, checked refrigerant pressures, all is working and operating OK at this time.
Gave estimate to repair ductwork in bathrooms
Homeowner is getting multiple quotes quoted on loan and insulation. She has 13 inches. Her house has R 38 ready she said the pest guy told her it was bad but there’s nothing wrong with the insulation. She’s gonna shop around and see and then get back to us.
So one issue is on this York system the float which is bad so it’s triggering to kick off the system. Second issue is the thermostat calls for cooling but says please wait and doesn’t click back on another issue. Is the compressors kick on for about two or three minutes, then shut off by themselves again Another issue after that is it’s not letting me get the proper temperatures or do anything when the system keeps turning on and off by itself, I’ve got 240. I’ve got 24 V for everything and need to come back for a follow up tomorrow and bring someone out here and see what’s going on because there’s multiple issues going on with the system, also they are second unit. The carrier has a bad float switch, which caused the leak in the ceiling. Need to replace the float switch on that also.
Electrical disconnect completed by Brad with Greenlight Electric. Brad is providing further estimates to replace all panels in home.
Found system with water in primary float safety switch. Cleaned and treated drain line as part of one year warranty. System appears to be draining properly at this time.
All information and materials collected per James. Permit request completed.
Gave client estimate to blow in insulation for 288 square feet and have handyman install attic stairs. Client moved forward and doing insulation on Thursday sept. 11th. Handyman doing attics stairs on Tuesday sept. 16th
Found system completely frozen over. Confirmed both motors are working. Will need to return when system has thawed out completely. This can take up to 24 hours.
Showed up to the home, noticed that the drain was clogged cleaned out the drain line explained everything to the homeowner. They did not want to replace the system when the system dies gonna go forward with mini splits
Performed system maintenance. Found equipment and all small parts operating to manufacturer specs at this time. Suggest keeping up with the regular maintenannce.
On arrival found mini split off. Resting pressure does not immediately indicate deficit. Reset system as part of initial diagnostic and found suction pressure falling below 40psig. Blower active and filters relatively clean. Liquid line frosting over. System not reporting any errors, likely due to system reset. Assuming refrigerant low or system restricted; left system on in hopes that code will be present on return visit. Return with R-32, check system codes and continue diagnostic as needed.
Thermostat blank on arrival. Found limited voltage at thermostat. Traced high voltage circuit for AHU until finding voltage break at AHU disconnect in attic. Aged Square D disconnect box is losing 240v across breaker. Discussed replacement of disconnect as well as need to perform wider electrical inspection. Recommended enrollment in maintenance plan to ensure home systems regularly inspected. Client accepted recommendations. Balance for project collected. Please schedule electrical technician to replace breaker as well as inspect broader home electrical systems.
Found through wall packaged air conditioner. Advised client that equipment type is unserviceable and recommended replacing with mini split system. Provided estimates for installation.
