Response from Mason Air Conditioning & Heating:
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a 5-star review!
No cooling, system running upon arrival, however, compressor is rattling very loud and not pumping refrigerant. Then compressor shut off on overload. Got compressor to cool down and compressor started up. OK however start up amps were very high. Also static pressure very high on system, even with lower merv filter in it. Cold air return is undersized. Need to change 16 inch flex to 18 inch flex and 9 inch flex 10 inch flex. Also recommended replacing compressor. Compressor still under parts warranty. System was never registered by company who installed it so there is only a five year parts warranty. System is running and operating at this time, however, it will go out again. Client is going to try to have company who installed system to come back and fix return and make other repairs.
Found system tripping out on high head pressure Removed charge again to still find restriction in 3/8 copper piping at air handler. Removed pipe and repaired with new. Pulled 497 micron vac and checked charge again. System ran for almost 45 mins dropped temp down in home from 80-77 before leaving and pressures never sky rocketed. Believe this is the final fix for this system

Client had another company replaced their system a couple of months ago. Client was having nothing but problems with the system and is having old company remove unit and having us replace it with a 2 1/2 ton Carrier heat pump system. Inspected ductwork in attic and advised client that ductwork should be replaced along with the proper IAQ. There is biological growth buildup in ductwork, along with some air leakage. Ductwork is most likely original to when the house was built. Client just wants to replace system for now and possibly do the ductwork six months to a year down the road. Scheduled install for Friday, June 13. Client finance full amount.
