-Arrived onsite and she showed us to the hvac unit in the garage and the panel as well. The resident explained that she had hvac come out over the weekend and test the junction box in the closet and got no power to the unit. I tested it as well and found there was indeed no power. I opened the panel and found the breaker for the hvac was bad, but on the other side of the panel found an afci that controlled the family room outlets and lights with corroded/burnt up screws and heat on the wires coming to it. I tested that as well while i was in there and found the breaker was going bad. Especially being in the middle of a stack of arc faults in the panel, i informed her replacing it would reduce the heat its putting out with it going out to protect the other breakers nearby, and explained that the furnace breaker had gone bad as well.
