This solution includes the replacement to the breakers not currently working. We have replaced the 2 existing breakers not working. One controlling the fridge and countertop receptacles and the second controlling the microwave and living room. We recommend having a dedicated circuit for the microwave and a replacement of the main panel.

Reason for today’s visit was to assess power loss in the home. When I arrived at the home, customer stated that she was using the treadmill earlier and then realized that she lost power to most of the Home. Well going to the Home I started to notice that This was definitely larger than a single circuit shorting out. This led me to go check the main panel to see if there was proper power coming into the home. When I tested the main log above the main breaker, I was only getting power on one leg. And then went outside and opened up the meter and found one of the legs was no longer in the crimp For the line side of the meter. I noticed that it was occasionally arcing because it was trying to make contact. I had customer call Pepco while I was on site to help them get this remedied. While standing over there, checking the power we looked up and noticed that the main triplex line coming to the home was resting on the roof. I ran a #4 bare copper ground wire from the main shut off valve in the utility room. Stapled it to the joists then ran it through the finished ceiling in the basement to the main electrical panel. Then i installed the ground wire and landed it on the ground/neutral bar in the main electrical panel I removed all smoke detectors in the home (3. One for each floor) these were the ones you could remove the battery. I replaced them with carbon monoxide smoke detector combination 10 year built in lithium battery hard wired interconnected units (customer has a fire place) i also labeled them the date installed and the date recommended to change them out I removed a standard receptacle the wash machine was plugged into and i installed a tamper resistant GFCI
Replaced broken single pole switch controlling kitchen sink. Also replace the switch control and the disposal while we were in the two gang box. Well on site we provided and installed a new LED flat panel surface mounted light to replace the older style fluorescent light in the kitchen.
