Pride Plumbing was called out for an A.O. Smith Signature 100 water heater getting the water too hot. We inspected the water heater and found that both thermostats were set to 127-degrees; however, when we tested the hot water temperature in the home, it was at 160-degrees. We replaced the unit's top and bottom thermostats, waited to give the water temperature time to come down, retested the water temperature, and the issue was corrected.
