Pride Plumbing came out and provided a cost estimate to replace a 40-gallon electric water heater with a new 40-gallon electric model (this would include removing and disposing of the old water heater after disconnecting its electrical connections and inlet and outlet water lines; installing water heater pads, the water heater, thermal expansion tank, ball water shut-off valves, PEX and stainless steel water supply lines to the water heater's water connections, brass drain valve, connecting the unit’s electrical connections (adding a Romex connector), bleeding the air out of the water lines, ensuring that the unit’s temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve was properly vented, and setting the unit to its appropriate operating temperature). We will also replace the copper hot and cold water supply lines going to six bathroom sinks with new PEX piping and fittings.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a leaking outside hose bib spigot. We replaced it with a new Woodford 19PX-6 frost-free model along with attaching it to the side of the house and tying it into the existing CPVC main water supply line underneath the house with new PEX piping and fittings. We also provided a cost estimate to replace the pressure switch and pressure gauge on a well and charge the well tank.
Pride Plumbing was called out for sewage water coming up in a pool house shower and toilet. Our inspection and tests determined that there was a stoppage in the outside main sewer septic drain line on the town's side. We advised the customer to contact the town to come out and clear the drain line. We also provided a cost estimate to trench a ditch from the town sewer tap to the pool house to expose and replace the main outside sewer septic drain line with new PVC piping and fittings along with installing proper cleanouts and fittings per code.
Pride Plumbing came out and performed a descaling service on a Navien tankless water heater (this included cutting the power off to the unit from the breaker along with cutting off the water at the water meter, removing the unit’s skirt, mixing a bucket of water with Rectorseal 68708 Calci-Free Tankless Water Heater Flush, letting it run through the unit for about 45 minutes to an hour, flushing the heater with just water, and then reattaching the unit's skirt). After restoring power and water to the unit, we tested it for proper operation with no issues.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a water leak at a Navien tankless water heater located in a garage. We found a leak on a PEX inlet water supply line. We cut out the leaking section of pipe and repaired it with new PEX piping and fittings.
Pride Plumbing came out and delivered one Piedmont Rent-A-Jon work port-a-jon. We pumped it out and emptied, cleaned, and restocked it with toilet paper and hand sanitizer each week it was in use. (https://piedmontrentajon.us)
Pride Plumbing was called out to install a water supply stop for a new refrigerator ice maker. The customer opted to have us install a completely new supply stop from the main waterline. We turned the water off to the house, went into the crawlspace, and installed two black roll to PEX pipe adapters and then made the water connections for the new supply stop. We turned the water back on and tested for leaks and the proper function of the ice maker with no issues.
Pride Plumbing was called out for two loose toilets. For the first toilet, we simply tightened its toilet bolts and stabilized it. For the second toilet, we had to pull it, clean the wax ring gasket off, and since its flange was cast iron, we installed a new spanner flange repair kit (connecting it to the main drain stack), installed a new wax ring gasket, replaced the toilet bolts and caps, reset the toilet, tested for leaks, caulked around the base of the toilet bowl, and tested for stability, leaks and proper operation with no further issues.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a clogged kitchen sink drain. We removed the sink’s P-trap and used a sewer machine down through the sink's drain line and cleared the blockage. After replacing the P-trap and testing for leaks and proper drainage, the issue was corrected. We ran hot water down the sink for several minutes and it drained properly. We also added additional floor joist metal strapping to the sink's black roll drain line underneath the home to correct is angle of fall. We provided a cost estimate to replace the kitchen sink's under-sink drain assembly, P-trap, and drain line through the floor to under the house in the crawlspace, and to where it ties into the main sewer drain stack, with new PVC piping and fittings.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a water leak underneath a bathroom sink. Our inspection found that the leak was coming from the sink’s two-handle widespread faucet. We replaced the faucet with a new customer-supplied Moen two-handle widespread model along with its hot and cold braided stainless-steel water supply lines. We tested for leaks and proper operation of the faucet with no further issues.
Pride Plumbing came out and provided a cost estimate to 1) trench a ditch from the building to the town sewer tap to expose and remove the outside main sewer septic drain line; 2) install a new 4-inch PVC sewer drain line (connecting it to the main drain line under the building) along with proper cleanouts and fittings per code; 3) install tracer wire in the ditch along with the new sewer drain line; and 4) backfill, tamp, and spread grass seed and straw after the work has been inspected and approved by Montgomery County's Inspection Department.
Pride Plumbing was called out for no water from a well. Our inspection and tests found that the water would run for about a minute, stop, and then start flowing again. We replaced the well's pressure gauge, brass nipple, and pressure switch, charged the tank to a proper pressure, and tested the well with no further issues.
Pride Plumbing was called out for no hot water in an upstairs master bathroom. Our inspection determined that the setting on the home's tankless water heater was incorrect and was causing the water to lose heat before reaching the upstairs bathrooms. We adjusted the water heater's settings, tested the water temperature, and the issue was corrected.
Pride Plumbing came out and replaced a yard hydrant - a tree fell on it and broke it (this required us to dig down and uncover its water supply line, bust the concrete around the yard hydrant, remove the water supply line and the yard hydrant, install the new yard hydrant and PEX water piping going to it; connect the PEX piping to the existing polybutylene outside main water supply line, pour pea gravel around the new yard hydrant, cover the pea gravel with new cement, and cover and tamp the new water line).
Pride Plumbing came out and provided cost estimates to replace a non-working 40-gallon LP Bradford White MI40T6FCX2 water heater with a new Navien tankless model with and without a NAVICIRC recirculation pump.
