We also cut out a cracked section of cast iron pipe in the ceiling and repaired it with a new cast iron pipe and a combination bend and wye, connecting onto the existing cast iron piping with no-hub couplings.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a water leak in a lower floor ceiling. After gaining access into the ceiling, we found that a cast iron drain line had cracked and was causing the leak. We provided a cost estimate to cut out the cracked section of pipe and repair it with new cast iron piping and fittings, connecting onto the existing cast iron piping with new no-hub couplings.
Pride Plumbing came out and replaced a leaking 10-gallon electric State lowboy water heater located in a ceiling with a new 10-gallon electric Bradford White RE110U6-1NAL lowboy model. This included removing and disposing of the old water heater; installing the new water heater, new ball water shut-off valves, new PEX and stainless steel water supply lines to the water heater connectors, a brass drain valve, a thermal expansion tank, bleeding the air out of the water lines, ensuring that the unit’s temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve was properly vented, wiring the water heater's electrical connections, and setting the unit to its appropriate operating temperature.
Pride Plumbing came out and provided a cost estimate to replace a 10-gallon electric water heater with a new 10-gallon electric model (this would include removing and disposing of the old water heater after disconnecting its electrical connections and inlet and outlet water lines; installing water heater pads, the water heater, thermal expansion tank, ball water shut-off valves, PEX and stainless steel water supply lines to the water heater's water connections, brass drain valve, connecting the unit’s electrical connections, bleeding the air out of the water lines, ensuring that the unit’s temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve was properly vented, and setting the unit to its appropriate operating temperature).
Pride Plumbing came out to install a new Bell & Gossett recirculating booster pump at a water heater. We removed the leaking booster pump, cleaned the pump flanges, installed the new flange gaskets onto the new pump, and then installed it back onto the flanges. After the pump was installed, we turned the water back on, tested for leaks, and then wired in the power whip. Finally, we tested the new recirculating pump for proper operation.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a commercial wall-hung toilet leaking from the wall. We removed the unit's Sloan Flushmate flush valve, pulled the toilet off the wall, inspected its flange, installed a new Zurn felt seal on the flange, rehung the toilet, and reinstalled the Sloan flush valve. After testing for leaks, the issue was corrected. We also provided a cost estimate to replace the toilet with a new commercial wall-hung model.
Pride Plumbing was called out for clogged sink drains in the men’s restroom on the second floor. First, we removed the P-trap on the far-left sink and ran a small sewer machine into the drain, but we couldn't clear the drain. Next, we removed a section of sheetrock behind the sinks and found a cleanout for the sink drains. We ran the sewer machine down through the cleanout and cleared the blockage. After the drain was cleared, we reinstalled the P-trap and ran hot water for 15 minutes to test for leaks and proper drainage.
Pride Plumbing came out and replaced a 10-gallon electric State PCE101OMSA water heater with a new 10-gallon electric Rheem PROE10-1-RH-POU water heater (this required us to install the new water heater, a HydraPro H10000 thermal expansion tank, ball water shut-off valves, PEX and copper water supply lines with ProPress copper fittings to the water heater connectors, and a brass drain valve; wire up the electrical connections to the unit, bleed the air out of the water lines, ensure that the unit’s temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve is properly vented, and set the unit to its appropriate operating temperature).

Pride Plumbing came out and removed a Zurn Wilkins irrigation RPZ backflow assembly and capped its inlet and outlet water lines.
Pride Plumbing was called out for three clogged commercial wall-mounted urinals. We used a sewer machine down through the urinals' drains and cleared the blockages. We also replaced one of the urinal’s Sloan flush valves due to it running constantly and not shutting off.
Pride Plumbing came out to replace two booster pumps. After cutting off the water and power to the pumps, we removed them and cleaned the pipe fittings and case heads. Then we installed the new pumps (Bell & Gossett Series e-1531 close coupled end suction pumps), made all the water and wiring connections, turned the water and power back on, bled the air out of the water lines, and checked for leaks and proper operation of the pumps.
Pride Plumbing was called out for an American Standard urinal that was leaking from its drain flange. First, we turned the water off and pulled the urinal from the wall. We found that its flange seal was gone, and its wall bracket fell off the wall. We reinstalled the wall bracket and then installed a new flange seal. We rehung the urinal and performed a master rebuild on the unit's Sloan flush valve. Finally, we turned the water back on and tested for leaks and proper operation with no further issues.
Pride Plumbing came out and provided a cost estimate to replace a leaking reduced pressure zone (RPZ) backflow. This would require us to remove the defective backflow; install the new backflow assembly with new gaskets, bolts and nuts; and test for leaks and proper operation. Once the RPZ assembly passes inspection, we will file the appropriate certification paperwork with Wake County.
Pride Plumbing came out and installed customer-supplied automatic soap dispensers at the kitchen sinks in seven breakrooms. There were also two clogged bathroom sink drains in the women's restroom on the first floor. We removed the sink drains' P-traps and drain lines going into the wall and used a sewer machine down through the drains and cleared the blockages. We then replaced all three of the sink's metal P-traps with new PVC ones along with one slip joint extension and tested for leaks and proper drainage with no issues.
