Pride Plumbing was called out for a water leak underneath a kitchen sink and to replace the rubber hot and cold hoses going to a GE washing machine. For the sink, our inspection found that it was coming from a broken slip joint nut attached to the basket strainer. We replaced the slip joint nut and flanged tailpiece washer and tested for leaks with no further issues. We then replaced the rubber washing machine hoses with new braided stainless-steel hoses.

Pride Plumbing was called out for a garbage disposal not working properly. Our inspection found that the unit was jammed due to an object being lodged inside it. Using a pair of pliers, we were able to remove the object which allowed the motor to turn freely. We then reset the circuit on the unit and tested it for proper working order with no further issues. We provided a cost estimate to replace the unit with a new Insinkerator Badger 5 model along with replacing the kitchen sink's PVC waste piping and P-trap.

Pride Plumbing was called out for an Insinkerator Badger 5 garbage disposal not working. Our inspection and testing of the unit determined that its motor had burned up. We pulled and replaced it with a new Insinkerator Badger 5 model, connected its drain and electrical connections (power whip), tested for leaks and proper operation, and the issue was corrected. The customer also had a water leak behind a toilet. Our inspection found that the leak was coming from the toilet’s tank's tank-to-bowl gasket. We turned the water off to the toilet; drained and removed the tank; used a Lavelle 481BP Korky tank-to-bowl gasket kit and replaced the gasket, bolts, and rubber washers; reset the tank; and tightened the bolts. When we tested the toilet for leaks and proper operation, we found that the toilet tank's red Korky flapper was deteriorated, so we replaced it with a new Lavelle 54BP black Korky flapper. We tested for leaks and proper operation again with no issues.
