Pride Plumbing came out and provided a cost estimate to perform the following work: 1) supply and install a Halo Water Systems whole-house carbon water filter in the garage; 2) install a new 1-inch PEX main water supply line loop in the garage along with a new main water ball shutoff valve; and 3) remove the P-traps underneath two bathroom sinks and replace one with a new P-trap and the other with a new S-trap.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a water leak at a water meter. We found that the leak was coming from the pressure reducing valve (PRV). We replaced the PRV with a new Watts LFN45BM1-DU-PEXXPEX model - attaching it to the existing copper main water supply line with new copper piping and copper ProPress fittings.
Pride Plumbing came out and provided a cost estimate to perform the following work: 1) install a shower drain and correct the fall for the drains for a bathroom sink vanity and toilet; 2) set the bathroom sink vanity and toilet in place; 3) run new PEX water supply lines from a storage room up and through the ceiling to the bathroom, and over to the shower, bathroom sink vanity, and toilet; 4) insulate the new PEX water supply lines; 5) install water supply stops for the bathroom sink vanity and toilet; 6) install a walk-in shower along with its shower valve, showerhead, drain cover, and ADA stainless-steel grab bars; and 7) make all the appropriate water and drain connections. The NC DOT will cut the concrete floor through two rooms and make the necessary drain connections to the sewer main on the side of the building and trench and run a new sewer line from the building to the city sewer tap.
Pride Plumbing came out and performed the following work: 1) cut a hole in the wall to gain access to a clogged drainpipe, cut out a section of the pipe, used a sewer machine and cleared the blockage; reconnected the pipe to the main drain stack using two new Fernco couplings; and 2) replaced two toilets with new Gerber Viper models (this included draining and pulling the old toilets, inspecting and cleaning the flanges, replacing the toilet bowls, toilet tanks, tank to bowl gaskets and bolts, seats, wax ring gaskets, toilet bowl bolts, toilet bowl bolt washers, toilet bowl bolt caps, and above-floor stainless steel braided water supply lines). Once installed, we tested both toilets for leaks and proper operation with no issues.
Pride Plumbing was called out to investigate the cause of a water stain on a ceiling. Our inspection found that the stain was being caused by a leaking roof. We advised the customer to contact a roofing company to come out and repair the roof.
Pride Plumbing came out and provided a cost estimate to pull a washing machine out of way, install an ice maker box with a shutoff and connect onto the bottom of a humidifier, run a rubber hose for the humidifier's drain line to and connect onto the washing machine's drainpipe, and test the humidifier for leaks and proper functionality.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a Kohler toilet tank that would run constantly and not fill. We replaced the toilet tank's water fill valve with a new Fluidmaster PRO45B fill valve; its flapper with a new Atlantic Coast 33-5376 flapper; and its above floor braided stainless steel water supply line with a new Mainline MLB19DLMF model and tested for leaks and proper operation with no issues.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a clogged PVC drainpipe between two floors of the building. We went to the first floor, and after cutting an access hole in the wall, we cut the pipe open and pulled the stoppage out. We then used a Fernco coupling and reconnected the pipe.
Pride Plumbing came out and cut a section out of the main drain stack and started to repair a section of pipe. Upon trying to make the repair, we noticed that the pipe was loose lower down inside the wall. We cut two access holes in the drywall to access that section of pipe. We found a Fernco coupling that was connected but not tight and that the pipe coming down from the main drain stack was too short. We removed the Fernco coupling, cut and replaced the short section of pipe with a longer piece of PVC pipe, and used two Fernco couplings to reconnect it. We then went back up and made the repair on the main drain stack. We also pulled and reset a toilet on a second-floor guest bathroom and set a second toilet in the master bathroom.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a toilet tank that would run constantly and not fill. Our inspection found that the toilet tank's flapper was deteriorated and would not seal off the tank which caused it to run constantly. We replaced the toilet tank's flapper with a new Lavelle 2004BP Korky adjustable flapper and tested for leaks and proper operation with no issues.
Pride Plumbing came out and provided a cost estimate to perform the following work: 1) clean and install approximately 75-feet of UV fiberglass cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) within an existing defective sewer line; and 2) clean and descale approximately 15-feet of 4-inch cast iron sewer line; and 3) install the CIPP from the adjacent restrooms - the toilet flange sections will be epoxy coated to allow for smoother flow and will protect the pipe from deterioration. The work will include standard preparation, cleaning, sewer jetting, and lining procedures required to restore structural integrity and flow to the affected sewer piping.
