Pride Plumbing was called out for sewage backing up into the home. We used a water pressure device at a cleanout underneath the home and cleared a grease blockage in the main outside sewer septic drain line. Then we found that the Liberty sewage pump was air locking due to it not having a weep hole for relief. We drilled a hole in the lid and corrected the issue. We also provided a cost estimate to replace septic pump's float switch and check valve.

Pride Plumbing was called out for a toilet bowl leaking at its base. First, we pulled the toilet and found that both of its flange bolts were loose. We also found that the left side of the flange had cracked. So, we added a Sioux Chief 886-MR spanner flange to the backside and a Fernco SF-100 Fix-a-Flange metal repair flange on the front side, making sure to silicone every layer on the repair. We then replaced its wax ring gasket (with a new Mainline ML11580 model), reset the toilet, replaced its toilet bowl bolts and caps and the toilet tank's above-floor braided stainless steel water supply line. We also added four plastic shims to level the toilet. Finally, we tested for leaks and proper operation with no issues and told the customer to wait at least 24-hours before using it.

Pride Plumbing came out and replaced a leaking 40-gallon electric Whirlpool lowboy water heater with a new 40-gallon electric Rheem lowboy model. First, after disconnecting its electrical connections and inlet and outlet water lines, we removed and disposed of the old water heater. Then we installed the new water heater, ball water shut-off valves, PEX and stainless-steel water supply lines to the water heater connectors, a brass drain valve, and wired up the electrical connections to the new water heater. Finally, we bled the air out of the water lines, ensured that the unit’s temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve was properly vented, and set the unit to its appropriate operating temperature.

Pride Plumbing was called out for sewage backing up in the home. We pulled two toilets, ran a camera and a sewer machine down both of their flanges, and cleared roots out of the drain line right at the home's foundation. The customer also had a leaking 40-gallon electric Rheem water heater. So, we replaced it with a new 40-gallon electric Bradford White RE340S6-1NCWW model. First, after disconnecting its electrical connections and inlet and outlet water lines, we removed and disposed of the old water heater. Then we installed a water heater pan, the new water heater, ball water shut-off valves, PEX and stainless-steel water supply lines to the water heater connectors, a brass drain valve, and wired up the electrical connections to the new water heater. Finally, we bled the air out of the water lines, ensured that the unit’s temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve was properly vented, and set the unit to its appropriate operating temperature.

Pride Plumbing was called out for two loose American Standard toilets and a third American Standard toilet not flushing correctly. For the loose toilets, we pulled both of them, cleaned and inspected their flanges (we had to add a closet flange extension to one of them), replaced their wax ring gaskets, reset the toilets, and replaced their toilet bowl bolts and caps. For the third toilet (it was a pressure-assist model), we made an adjustment to its Sloan Flushmate pressure tank and corrected the flushing issue.

Pride Plumbing came out and replaced a washing machine’s leaking cold-side boiler drain (this included cutting out and replacing the boiler drain with a new one, replacing short sections of its water supply line coming up through the floor with new PEX piping and fittings, and replacing the cold-water supply line going from the boiler drain to the back of the washing machine with a new braided stainless-steel one). We then tightened the packing nut on the hot-side boiler drain to stop it from leaking. We also provided a cost estimate to replace the hookups for the washing machine (this would include installing new PEX hot and cold water supply lines, boiler drains, PVC drain, and a ProPlus plastic washer box; tying the water supply and drain lines into their respective water and sewer mains under the home).

Pride Plumbing was called out for a wobbly toilet due to its flange being too high. Our inspection determined that we would have to replace the flange and the 3-inch ABS closet bend. So, after pulling the toilet, we removed and replaced the ABS closet bend with a new PVC closet bend - attaching it to the existing ABS pipe with a new Fernco coupling. Then we replaced the toilet flange with a new Oatey 43509 flange - ensuring it was level with the floor. After replacing the toilet bowl's wax ring gasket and closet bolts and caps, we reset the toilet, added five plastic shimms to level it, tested it for leaks and proper operation, and the issue was resolved.
