Pride Plumbing came out and performed the following work in the building's basement: 1) reusing an existing pit that the floor drains piped into, we installed a new Liberty sewage pump with no catch float; installed a new PVC drain line and check valve for the new pump along with a ball valve and union; installed a new Liberty NightEye alarm system on the discharge piping to help monitor the pump; and tested the pump and alarm for working order; and 2) cut and removed concrete to install a new catch basin; dug dirt out for the new catch basin; cut a hole in the existing pump pit for a 4-inch overflow pipe; installed a new catch basin and Liberty sewage pump along with a 4-inch pipe to ensure that the overflow pump comes on before the floor drains overflow; installed a new 2-inch discharge line to outside; poured concrete around the new catch basin; and tested the new pump system for proper working order.
