Pride Plumbing was called out for a water leak near a Rheem water heater. Our inspection found a pinhole leak on a copper pipe in the wall. First, we removed some drywall and cut out a short section of the leaking pipe. Next, we added a new 3/4-inch copper elbow and a short section of copper pipe. We then replaced the remaining section of the pipe going to the water heater with new PEX piping and stainless-steel fittings and added a new ball water shutoff valve. Finally, we tested for leaks with no further issues. We also provided cost estimates to 1) replace a kitchen sink's under-sink drain assembly, P-trap, and drain line through the floor to under the house in the crawlspace, and to where it ties into the main sewer drain stack, with new PVC piping and fittings; and 2) repipe and replace the copper water supply lines under the house in the crawlspace, going to the fixtures in the kitchen, at the washing machine, and in two bathrooms, with new PEX piping and fittings.
