Pride Plumbing came out and replaced a leaking 38-gallon electric U.S. Craftmaster E2F40LD045V lowboy water heater with a new 38-gallon electric Rheem PROE38-S2-RH95-B lowboy model. First, after disconnecting its electrical connections and inlet and outlet water lines, we removed and disposed of the old water heater. Then we installed the new water heater, a HydroPro H10000 HPTET2 thermal expansion tank, ball water shut-off valves, PEX and stainless-steel water supply lines to the water heater connectors, a brass drain valve, and wired up the electrical connections to the new water heater (adding a Romex connector). Finally, we bled the air out of the water lines, ensured that the unit’s temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve was properly vented, and set the unit to its appropriate operating temperature.
