Heat preventative maintenance on a heat pump from 2023 using air filter size aprilaire 910. Upon arrival the customer stated that the system has been running good without any issues but has noticed some dust around the house. The system does have a uv light and it’s still working, I recommended to swap the filter out every 3-4 months instead of the 6 months to help out with the dust because her ductwork is clean. During my inspection I checked temperatures, amps draws on heat strips, checked electrical connections and components, and changed the air filter out today. I did find a burning and arcing contactor due to the compressor starting heavy, it’s rated for 104 LRA and I’m reading 128 today. I got the customer involved and showed her a video I made and she decided to get a compressor saver today and we will be replacing the contactor under her 10 year parts and labor warranty. After repair I checked the compressor start amps and they were within range. System is heating proper
