Arrived on site, homeowner stated the unit was not keeping up with the set point. We initially proceeded to the furnace and found condenser running the drain line to be clear. Unit was expelling 80 degree air while compressor was running. At this point we measured refrigerant pressures and found them to be low. We then proceeded to the indoor coil and found a leak in the evaporator coil(video attached). We turned the breaker off at the condenser at this time to prevent further damage. We then provided the home owner options for addressing this issue. 1. Recharge system and leave it 2. Recharge and leak seal. 3 system replacement. Homeowner opted to replace the system with a 3.5 Ton AC-Gas System: Silver 14 and was available for the installation on Friday at 8:00. Deposit collected and remaining balance will be payed with credit card. Customer would like to keep his turbo capacitor from old system.
