Upon arrival, i spoke with the customer about the issue. The customer stated that they are unit is not blower air in cooling mode. I began looking into the wiring of the downstairs system. The blower motor was wired to use the yellow speed tap. This is one of the slowest speed taps available. When the temperature begins to drop outside, this could easily lead to freezing. I adjusted the wiring to high ( grey wire) to allow maximum air flow across the coil. I tested the system and ran it for approximately an hour with no issues. The system produced a 20 degree temperature drop, the refrigerant pressures are good for the current weather, and amps are good. The capacitor is reading 39/45 on the compressor side. I offered to replace it and the customer declined. System was cooling properly upon departure.
