Upon arrival performed $75 summer tuneup on 27 year old Trane furnace and 13 year old Trane condenser. Found secondary motor control for blower motor is out of limits. Was unable to check temperature split because system does not cool. Cleaned electric filters and metal horsehair filters with water. Found blower motor to be leaking grease. Blower wheel is dusty. Condensation line does not have a P trap, nor a secondary drain. Checked condensation pump and it is working. Performed deep cleaning of condenser coil fins and removed debris. Checked electrical components and existing hard start capacitor is low and out of limits. Dual secondary motor control is within limits. Starter looks fine. Condenser fan motor is pulling 1.1 amps, FLA is 1.3. While checking the refrigerant temperatures and pressures I noticed it is low on charge. Subcool was only 1.8 and required is 13. The owner does not want to move forward with any repairs. Upon departure system is not cooling.
