I performed cooling maintenance today on a Lennox system. Upon arrival, the system is fully operational. During my inspection, I found that the secondary motor control for the condenser tested out of range. I replaced it. All other electrical components, including the compressor and fan motors tested in range with no signs of damage. The return air filter was clean, and I clean the outdoor coil as it was dirty. This system is over 10 years old, and did not feature surge protection. The homeowner decided to add whole system surge protection!
