The technicians were courteous and professional but there were several issues with the quality of work performed that I observed after work was complete. 1. Dust and woodchip debris from a board sawed by the technician was left in a pile where it fell in our basement. 2. An elbow duct joining a main duct had a large gap that was neither screwed nor taped and one could feel air being lost through this large gap. 3. Other joints/connections in ductwork where one would expect there to be tape there was none and one could feel air being lost. 4. A new electric line that had to be run from the thermostat to the new furnace was not stapled to the ceiling joist in the basement but was left hanging. 5. Two large holes had to be drilled through our block walls in the basement to accommodate PVC pipes to the outside- The gaps left around the PVC pipes were only partially caulked on the top of the PVC from the outside but were not caulked at all on the bottom of the PVC. On the inside from the basement you could clearly see daylight through both holes and the void from the inside around both holes was not filled in at all. 6. The pump attached to the humidifier was placed directly on the concrete floor of the basement rather than on something that would raise the pump off the floor to avoid contact with any moisture. The salesman, who was also very courteous and professional, assured me the quality of work performed by his crew would surpass that of previous contractors. This is no different than other contractors especially given the price I paid, which was high. What concerns me the most is that if details like this were overlooked, what else was overlooked that I can't see directly? Given the price I paid, which was on the high end, I expected flawless service. It is attention to detail that produces an exceptional quality product in the end. I suppose only time will tell.
