Reason for today’s visit with the customer was looseness in receptacles in the upstairs bedroom and a switch not working. The customer bought her own receptacles for us to change them but after some discussion about warranty she decided for us to provide them and change all of them in the entire room. The switch had messed up wiring due to someone attempting to change it. We corrected the wiring for it and it was working as intended. The customer was informed however that no warranty would be provided for this device. We noticed lack of safety in the home in form of missing smoke detectors (3), missing bonding jumper at the water heater, a whole home surge protector missing, and shared neutrals and grounds in the panel. We wrote a solution for correcting all of these and the customer decided to move forward with it.
