Pride Plumbing was called out for lukewarm water on the cold side of the home's faucets and for a Navien tankless water heater constantly turning on and off. Our inspection found that the issue was due to how the water heater was set up. We explained to the homeowner that we could either set the unit to provide hot water on demand (which would cause it to turn on and off more and lead to lukewarm water on the cold side faucets throughout the house) or set it to external mode (which would cause it to operate like a standard tank water heater with the hot water taking a little time to make it to the upstairs bathroom). The customer opted for us to set it to external mode. After making the adjustment, we tested the water's temperature both downstairs and upstairs and the customer was satisfied.
