Pride Plumbing was called out for a floor drain overflowing in the kitchen. After running a sewer machine down the drain and it not resolve the issue, we went to the interceptor and pulled its lid. We used a ShopVac and removed 15 gallons of sewage water, and that's when we saw that its damper screens/grids were clogged. After clearing the screens/grids, we ran the sewer machine one more time while running hot water down the sink's drain. We saw then that the interceptor was filling and nothing was backing up. We provided cost estimates to 1) remove and repipe the drain lines in the kitchen down through the floor to underneath the building with new PVC piping and fittings; and 2) trench a ditch from the town sewer tap to the building to expose and replace the main outside sewer septic drain line with new PVC piping and fittings along with installing proper cleanouts and fittings per code.
