Pride Plumbing came out to repair a galvanized bathroom sink drain behind the wall in the men’s restroom. We performed the following work: 1) we turned the water off to the wall-hung sink and then removed it from the wall along with its two P-traps; 2) we removed just enough of the concrete block wall to access the sink's galvanized drain line; 3) we cut out the bad section of drain line and replaced it with new PVC drain piping and fittings (installing a new PVC Santee and connecting back to the galvanized pipe with a Fernco coupling); 4) after the repair was made, we reinstalled the wall-hung sink and both P-traps; and 5) we installed a plastic plumbing access panel over the hole we made in the concrete wall.
