Pride Plumbing was called out for a water leak in the yard. Our thorough inspection did not find any leak or movement of the water meter. It was our belief that the water was from runoff due to the lay of the land. We advised the customer to monitor the area and provided a cost estimate to replace the home's outside main water supply line. We would trench a ditch from the water meter to the house to expose and remove the outside main water supply line; install a new 1-inch black roll and PEX outside main water supply line from the water meter to the house along with installing tracer wire; connect the new water line to an existing water line connection under the house and install a new ball valve main water shut-off and new thermal expansion tank in the crawlspace; install a new pressure reducing valve (PRV), ball valve, and check valve at the water meter in the meter box; test the new water line for leaks and working order; and cover the area after county inspection.
