Found blown fuse. Inspected system for short and found it at the outdoor unit. A splice in the wire was made outside of the unit and exposed to the elements. I could see bare copper wire and where R and C were touching. Discussed with homeowner that I would need to run new thermostat wire to the outdoor unit. I was missing the required amount of wire at the time, but was able to acquire enough from the office after the homeowner signed off on the estimate. I proceeded to run the thermostat wire in one clean run from the outdoor unit to the furnace. After I completed the work, the unit started up without issue and proceeded to cool the home. Measured 20 degrees across coil. No issue with drain line. Unit in good working order upon departure.
