I performed a single system cooling maintenance on a 2003 carrier Heatpump. I checked drains, electrical, cleanliness, and safeties. The system is cooling well as of right now. During thoroughly evaluating the system, I took notice to some concerning issues. The airhandler has growth formations. The evaporator coil and blower wheel are in need of cleaning. The primary drain line is actively clogged. The capacitor is reading under manufacture specifications on the compressor side 52/55. The defrost board has corrosion spots all over it. The customer spoke briefly about allergies in the home. I provided pricing to address listed issues. I priced a 3 ton Heatpump complete replacement. The system estimate includes a heavily discounted air treatment device and complementary Aprilaire filter base. Customer declined repairs during time of service and will reach back out at a later time.
