Arrived at our clients home for the upstairs unit not cooling properly. Charles proceeded to walk me upstairs to the attic unit and showed me where the equipment was located. We proceeded outside and then I began to diagnose the system. I gauged up on the system and found the compressor not running. I checked and found the winding to be opened. I ensured the other electrical components to be testing within range and proceeded to discuss my finding with our client. As a courtesy I checked the downstairs system electrical components and found a capacitor testing below manufacture specifications as well as the contactor to be charred at the connection points. I briefly wrote up an estimate and he called a friend in the industry who gave him a better price for the upstairs system replacement. Charles did proceed with the recommended repairs for the downstairs unit.
