Ac preventative maintenance on 2 gas systems from 2012, air filter sizes 20*25*1 for downstairs and 16*25*1 for upstairs. Customer mentioned that we’ve replaced some of the components on the upstairs system that are related to the ac side. During my inspection I checked temperatures, checked electrical connections and components, changed the air filters today, treated the drain lines, and inspected the systems for dirt buildup. Upstairs system: I found the ductwork to be very dirty along with the blower wheel. Due to the system inside being dirty the compressor is working harder than it should and when it starts up it is over amping. Downstairs system: ductwork is very dirty along with the blower wheel. Due to the dirt the blower motor is leaking oil and its capacitor is bad. These issues is causing the outside system to overwork and the compressor is over amping and causing the capacitor to overheat. Also has a rusted drain pan and outside disconnect is broken.
