Upon arrival, I found that the thermostat would not discover the home’s Wi-Fi and was warm to the touch. I replaced the thermostat and wiring base. I programmed the thermostat to match the original thermostat. Customer spoke about how the kitchen side of the house as hotter than everywhere else. After inspecting, I determined that the best route would be to add an additional plenum with dampers on that side of the house and connect the ducts. This would allow control over individual areas. Currently, the unit has a single metal trunk that runs and splits the ducts inefficiently. I inspected the filter and a connection that we capped off per customer request. To remove the thermostat from nexia, we will need to connect to wifi and remove it on the thermostat. I could not do it on site due to it not discovering the customer’s Wi-Fi.
