Upon arrival, I found that the outdoor unit was not running and the indoor unit was giving a communication error code. I proceeded outside to see that the outdoor unit was in a lock out due to the start circuit being open. I checked the capacitor and noticed that it was dead. I removed it to check it again and seen it was slightly bloated. The capacitor had a critical failure due to the inner seal rupturing. I replaced the 40/5 capacitor under parts and labor warranty. System is cooling upon departure with a 21 degree temperature split.
