Found Bradford white natural gas powervented water heater locked out on a 6/1 code ( failed to light pilot). Opened up union and checked that I had gas to the control valve. That was good. Recycled call for water heater to ignite, found water heater sparking at metal door before going to pilot assembly. Found wire had been pinched from the factory and wore threw and was speaking to ground. Tapped up wire with electrical tape and re- positioned to no pinch wire. Water heater fired right up and is working fine again.
