Heat tune up for 80KBTU 2-stage propane furnace. Made call for heat from thermostat. Visual inspection of heat exchanger and burners: Good Checked hot surface ignitor resistance and looked for cracks during start up. Cleaned flame sensor. Checked pressure switches and components. Checked all wiring/electric motors and components. Measured static pressure. Measured temperature rise. Combustion draft test:Good Found lead on low pressure switch was lose. Secured connection Found return static pressure of .46†which is high. Also saw error code in CoolCloud “Blower motor operating outside Limitsâ€. Which indicates controls shut system down on a few occasion as a result of high return static. Strongly recommend adding a return to establish design condition. Had conversation with homeowner and he informed us that these error codes occurred during a bathroom remodel during which the remodelers blocked off return. Dining room is probably the best place to add a return. Furnace is o
