Today’s visit was for service cable ripped off of the side of the house due to the storm. The power company will typically reattach the cable to the house, but due to the extensive damage they are requiring for the service cable to be replaced. With replacing the cable, we will need to pull an electrical permit, bring up to current code standards per the county (2017 NEC) and meet BGE's requirements (power company) We will need to install a new overhead cable, BGE may update the electric meter, install a new cable from meter to panel, replace the split buss panel with a main breaker type, install two grounding rods, bond the water piping systems, and ground to the cold water piping. Our quote excludes repairing the siding that was torn down with the cable, mudding/ painting any finished surfaces.
