The reason for today’s visit with the customer was to provide a solution on installation of a HVAC Heat pump and powering it up. Today when we arrived we saw a 150 amp GE Panel that had a few causes of concern. We saw that there were mismatched breakers in the panel such as three 30 amp two pole HomeLine breakers and an Eaton BR 30 amp two pole breaker. The panel also had breakers that were very loose and it did not have proper grounding to it. The service cable wrapped around the side/front of the home to an over head service and the service was provided by PepCo. After viewing the panel, the concern at the time was the wire feeding the old AC system. The HVAC tech from Buric stated the new system required a 60 amp rated wire with a 60 amp max breaker. After calling the technician, I found out the minimum for the system was 50 amps and the current set up that was installed would work fine. After finding this information, we then provided a solution on replacing current 50 amp breaker

The reason for today’s visit was to problem shoot the overhead light in the foyer after all the lights went out simultaneously. Upon arrival we visually examined the light and noticed no signs of deterioration on the outside. We moved downstairs to the panel which also showed no signs of deterioration. We then began our physical assessment on the switch connected to the light and noticed original rag wire but the rag wire and switch were both operating normally. We then disassembled the light fixture and we discovered the ballast had gone bad due to overheating resulting in the customer needing a replacement. We then presented the customer with three quotes. The first is an upgrade to a more expensive light fixture installation. The second was a replacement with a basic 6 inch light. The final quote is for the installation of a light fixture that she would provide herself. At this time she wishes not to move forward. However, if she finds a fixture she likes she will proceed to move fo

Installation of new dedicated EV charger circuit mounted on the exterior of home. Installation would require circuit to be ran in SEU to the hardwired unit that customer supplied. Customer is looking to have a Level 2 Charger installed. Recommend installing water/gas bond to bring home up to date on all metallic systems being bonded together.

The reason for today’s visit with the customer was an estimate on a dedicated circuit for a Level 2 EV charger. After introducing to the customer i was then shown the panel location which was in the basement. The panel was a 200 amp CH panel that was recently installed on 9/2023. The panel was correctly installed with no hazards shown and also had whole home surge protection along with proper grounding and service cable/service head. The customer showed me the location she preferred for the installation which would be in the front of the home near the parking pad. The basement was unfinished with minimal drilling needed to run the SEU service cable for the hardwired EV charger. I explained my route of how i would run the cable as well as how the cable would be mounted on the exterior of the home. As i was in the basement i did see that the customer did not have all metallic systems bonded, so i recommended that we also did that while there for the car charger install. At this time cust

Installed 8 recess wafers in living room on 2 seperate Casetta dimmers with pico remotes as 3 way dimmers. Ceiling and walls were plaster so some damage occurred when cutting the holes and customer was aware of the possibility of damage with plaster. Also relocated a baseboard heater line voltage thermostat to the room in the basement where the heater is. Old location was in a seperate room so it did not turn on heater. Also installed a circuit for a hot tub out of garage sub panel with a home line spa pack gfci breaker. Swapped out breaker for garage sub panel to a 60 amp BR breaker to give more amperage for extra stuff besides hot tub. Returned 12-20-21 and hooked up power to hot tub. It is shut off at disconnect due to tub not being full yet.
