Reason for today’s visit with the customer was for a few odds and ends tasks. The GFCI in the kitchen beneath the sink was tripped and was reset. In the upstairs bedroom the fan light never turned off so I examined the wiring hoping to use another switch leg to control it. Unfortunately the remote receiver in the fan only has one switch leg capability. In the bathroom the smart switch is unreliable. It works sometimes and other times doesn’t. I believe it is a failing smart switch but customer and I were unable to identify the make a model. The oven works intermittently but has correct voltage. Multiple repairman have replaced the board in it but it still works intermittently. I believe the home was hit by a surge at one point and hit the microprocessors in a lot of the home. The panel is the largest concern. It is original to the home and is showing extreme signs of aging. The main lugs have rust, the neutral bar is overheating, the breakers are corroding, and the panel casing is rus
