Install dedicated circuit for dishwasher The reason for today’s visit was to look at installing power for a dishwasher in the kitchen. Customers in the middle of remodeling the kitchen however, they said they were going to be doing it in pieces. The cabinet where the sink is located is a temporary set up and will be getting removed in the near future so I gave the customer the option to run a new circuit for the dishwasher as well as to just hop off of the kitchen countertop receptacle above it for a temporary use. after going over the benefits of running a dedicated circuit now, and then it would be ready for the future customer elected to go with a dedicated circuit. We ran the new circuit from the subpanel in the basement unfinished area, through the bulkhead and over to through the finished basement ceiling and up into the wall next to the kitchen sink.
