Reason for today’s visit was to repair power loss to second-floor hallway light as well as the bedroom ceiling fan light. While troubleshooting I found that the hallway light on the second floor was getting power but the three-way working from the top of the stairs at the dimmer down to the foyer three-way was not working properly. I also found that the fan has a short in the light kit which is causing the light to not work properly. The fan will need to be replaced because it is the harness itself that has the defect. We replaced the dimmer at the top of the stairs as well as the three switches at the front door. This repaired the issue with the second-floor light. While on site we check to see if we could move the thermostat in the second-floor hallway into the master bedroom on the wall above the switch. The wire is not long enough for us to relocate the thermostat which means the wire will need to be replaced. To do so the new wire will need to be wired into the furnace itself in t
