Reason for today’s visit was to check power loss to the living room. One investigating issue I found burnt up backstabbed devices in the living room. Home was wired in the late 80s and backstab only devices were used. This means that these devices are unable to have tight connections by screw down terminals. The entire home has these devices throughout. Backstab devices have we connections in cause the devices to overheat internally. This causes the connections to become weak and eventually break apart resulting in power loss or worse. To remedy this issue we would recommend re-device in the entire home. To remedy the power Lost in the living room the living room receptacles will need to be re-device. We replaced the three receptacles located in the living room and power was restored. We recommend not using space heaters or anything else with heating elements in them on backstab devices. Space heaters should have dedicated circuits for use. #review
