Customer had another company come out to diagnose the issue and Troy corroborated the diagnosis of needing a new compressor. As to the cause of why the compressor seized it looks that the fins on the edge of the Compression unit are clogged up and there’s a lot of foliage on one side, which is restricting airflow coming into cool off the compression bulb. Customer is looking to get one more house to come out and give them a quote on the compressor. Quoted customer on a warranty 2 ton compression bulb as he is still under the Goodman warranty, but he is outside of the gap warranty. Hot2cold did install this four years ago with the previous landlord.
