Upon arrival, system is in emergency heat mode for heating. There is an audible refrigerant leak when the door is taken off. Located refrigerant leak on a bend in the pipe just after the filter drier. The leak is a micro crack in the copper joint. Inspected area of leak and fund a sufficient amount of black residue matching the consistency and smell of acidic refrigerant oil commonly seen with a burned out compressor. With the recent compressor replacement, is is suspected that the refrigerant had been contaminated and the acidic oil has been eating away at the copper. Other issues found with the system include bypassed safety switches, burned wires, and an incorrectly plumbed hot water generator. There is also some kind of water in the bottom along the coaxial heat exchanger that could be evidence of a leaking coaxial heat exchanger but could not verify as the ground loop solution is unable to be distinguished between glycol or alcohol solutions.
